Do I need to make any preparations?
Not really. We just need a some space in front of the unit (we’ll be happy to move any heavy items for you), access to hot water, drainage (toilet, sink, etc) and an electrical socket. We’ll do the rest!
How long does cleaning take?
Generally, about one and a half hours per unit. The unit can then be used immediately.
How much does it cost?

Combining with another Carpet Butlers’ service—only ¥9,800 per unit (80—100cm wall-mount type)

Not combined with another Carpet Butlers’ service ¥15,750   Campaign!—¥12,600

Two or more units—only ¥9,800 per unit

Options: External unit cleaning ¥5,250. Odour neutraliser ¥3,150 or internal protective coating against bacteria and mold ¥5,250. Anti-cockroach attachment ¥1,000.

Carpets & Upholstery
Do I need to make any preparations?

We recommend that you put away valuable, breakable and all smaller items for your peace of mind and so we may clean as much surface area as possible.

We’ll be happy to move any heavy items for you such as sofas, desks, tables and chairs, although we cannot move items such as pianos, heavy beds, full bookshelves/cabinets, wired-in computers/Hi-Fi systems and the like.

We will need access to hot water, drainage (toilet, sink, etc) and an electrical socket. We’ll do the rest!

How long will the carpet/upholstery take to dry?
Drying times can vary greatly, depending on several factors e.g. fibre content and construction, pile density, degree of soiling, method of cleaning, room temperature, humidity, air circulation. In most cases, we usually find it takes 3 – 4 hours for Carpets to dry, while Upholstery varies significantly.
Is it okay for my children and/or pets to be in the house?
Yes, all our products are 100% safe for children and pets but we do advise that they are supervised at all times for their own safety.
Can I walk on the carpet whilst it is still damp?

Of course, but it’s best not to wear coloured socks or slippers whilst the carpet is still damp as the dyes from these may transfer onto the carpet leaving permanent stains. Do not walk on damp carpet in outdoor shoes, as the soil will transfer onto the carpet fibres.

TAKING CARE OF YOU! Please take extra care when stepping from a damp carpet onto a hard surface e.g. kitchen and bathroom floors. The moisture picked up on your feet or footwear can make them very slippery.

How can I speed up the drying time?
Leave open internal doors and external windows (weather and security permitting). Keep the room warm during the winter months by using the heating system. De-humidifiers and/or fans will also help.
When can I remove the foil protectors/foam blocks?
Please ensure that the carpet is COMPLETELY DRY before removing any of the foil protectors/foam blocks.
Can you fix indentations from heavy furniture?
No guarantee can be made on removing indentations from heavy furniture. In addition to the pile of the carpet being crushed, the backing of the carpet is indented. Heat, moisture, and hand grooming with our equipment may help, but it will take time to release back to normal, if at all. Severe cases may be permanent.

  • We service Tokyo and Chiba, Kanagawa and Saitama prefectures.
  • Although we strive to maintain strictly on-time appointments—due to traffic conditions, we may arrive up to 30 minutes later than scheduled.
  • Discounts are available to clients wishing to enter into six-monthly or annual service contracts, or to those with larger or commercial premises.
  • Prices do not include parking charge where required.
  • Prices do not include 5% consumption tax.
  • Unless by prior arrangement, we ask accounts to be settled in cash upon completion of the work. We will provide a receipt if requested.
